Overall Rating: 4.5 StarsReview:Wait for You was a great New Adult read, I loved the sexy, hero and the funny witty dialogue. Even though I had quite a few LOL moments this was not a light read because it had some serious subject matter at its core.
Avery is starting her freshman year at a small college in West Virginia and she wishes for a clean slate from her past. She moved there from Texas to get away from her cold, detached parents and a horrible attack which happened to her when she was 14. We know she was attacked by a boy in her social circle back home, but we don’t find out what exactly happened until much later in the novel.
Avery meets Cam on her first day in college. Cam is totally swoon worthy. *sigh* I mean he is all hotness with bright blue eyes, dark floppy hair, popular, smart, sweet,
and he bakes!!!! Oh I don’t think I mentioned his crooked smile and his dimple --> (how could I forget 0.0)
Cam takes an immediate interest in Avery and begins pursuing her relentlessly. But they both have their secrets and this ultimately gets in the way of them getting together. But their chemistry is off the charts! I absolutely loved them as a couple!
I cannot do this review without mentioning the grammar. I originally started reading it in my Kindle via the eARC from Net Galley so I thought it was just not updated. However, I had purchased a copy of this book from Barnes & Noble (prior to receiving the eARC) so I read it on my Nook and it was no better. There were so many typos that it did mess with the flow of the story at times. I did not take points off the review for this but I think it should be mentioned.
Overall, I think this was a fun, sexy read that I recommend to all fans of New Adult! I will definitely be reading more from this author!
