Let me start off by saying that I have never reviewed an Autobiography before so I don’t have a good reference point; however, I don’t think The Wingman Chronicles is your average Autobiography. I really liked it—It was definitely crude, crass, and raw; he didn’t hold anything back. It appears nothing is off limits when it comes to the information in this book, or in his personal life for that matter.

James Holeva is a stand-up comedian among other things, who mixes business with pleasure. The lines are blurred, because you don’t know where James the comedian ends, and James the person begins. It appears the women in his life have this same problem.

He is a player, gigolo, lothario, and he references himself as such throughout the book. He is not lacking in the self-esteem department. But really that is what makes him so funny. He holds no shame for his actions, and it is extremely comical.

He states “…a player can bring the pornstar out of a nun.” And this must be true for him because some of the stories made my jaw just drop… I was like no he didn’t!!! I was definitely blushing during many of the more raunchy scenes, for which there were plenty. He definitely has to have some insight into the inner workings of the female mind to be able to get women to do the things described in this book.

This book is really a compiling of his sexcapades—and I’m sure he is giving us his most crass version, because that is where the comedy is. It is definitely not for the faint at heart, and if you are easily offended, you will be.

However, I am not easily offended and I thought this book was hilarious, and I would love to see him live. I know he will be in Philly in August and I plan on seeing him then. I’m sure his shows are a good time ;-)
"I had some time to think," she said. Fuck, this couldn't be good. A woman with time to think poses a danger to herself and anyone she comes in contact with. I don't recommend a girl ever engage in independent thought--especially when I'm the subject of her rumination.

Overall, if you are looking for something funny to read I recommend The Wingman Chronicles, it is definitely unique!!!
