Overall Rating: 4 StarsReview:This series was sexy, steamy, intense, and passionate. I read the entire series over one weekend, and was totally taken by it. I thought it was going to be more like Fifty Shades than it was, and that was a pleasant surprise.
I loved Ethan, and the way he loved Brynne. He was so selfless, with the biggest heart. But of course he was all alpha male and domineering when it came to sex. He really is an awesome book boyfriend who had it all. He definitely had me swooning ;-)
“Ethan possessed a skill set that combined hot, bad boy sex god with mannerly, romantic gentleman; something so rare and captivating, I didn’t have a chance of resisting the pull.” ~Brynne
I can’t blame you for that Brynne, me neither ;-)
So this book picks up right where All In left off after the bomb scare at the Gallery show. Ethan is more frightened than ever for Brynne's life and is determined to protect her. He knows he wants to be with her forever at this point, but he has been afraid to approach subjects involving their future for fear she will run off. But it cannot be put on hold for long because fate has put things in place for them to have to decide whether to take their relationship to the next level.
But there are things in their way to their HEA. Tragic circumstances threaten to break them apart, but I was confident in them as a couple. They are strong, and love each other dearly.
One thing I didn't like was that Ethan's past was never really spoken about. It's not like I needed gory detail, but I needed more than we got, and I would have liked to know if he was going to get professional help for his PTSD.
In addition, the ending was not all that I would have liked it to be, it just lacked something. It fell a little flat.
I won’t say more than that for fear I may spoil it for you. This conclusion is a must read if you read the first two books! You will want to read the rest of Ethan and Brynne’s passionate love story—It gives us the answers we have been waiting for.
I highly recommend this series to fans of sexy and steamy romances with a great plot!
