Spoiler-FREE Review:
I am in the middle of an emotionally draining book hangover. It is with a heavy aching heart that I say goodbye to this unbelievable series. I was left utterly speechless for a while after I read the last paragraph, I had to let my emotions roll around and simmer for awhile.

I do not even know how to begin to explain how amazing this story is. I cannot adequately put into words how much I love this series, but I will try. Thief is the conclusion to the most beautifully flawed love story ever told. I have read A LOT of books, and this series is my all-time favorite series EVER! If there ever was a story that I say is a MUST READ, this is it! I just want to shout at the top of my lungs “READ THIS SERIES! And do it NOW!!!”

Tarryn Fisher’s writing is simply brilliant. Each word in each book is well thought out, and means something. It is poetic, philosophical, and heartbreaking in its beauty. I highlighted so many of the pages, and read and re-read them over and over again.

“She’s mine. She always has been, she always will be. We’ve been running in opposite directions for the last ten years, and we collide at every turn. Sometimes, it’s because we’re looking for each other, other times it's fate.”

And if you have read the first two books you know this to be true. Caleb and Olivia have both been through so much adversity when it comes to their relationship. At times it was like the odds were so stacked against them that I thought it would be impossible for them to ever be together.

“How many times can a heart be broken before it is beyond mend? How many times can I wish to not be alive? How can one human being cause such a crack in my existence?”

Thief is in Caleb’s POV, and alternates between past and present like the last two books. But it is not a simple retelling; it is a totally different viewpoint with very different perspectives. We get to know Caleb, and we see how flawed he is. I don’t love him any less; actually I love him more if that’s possible. He is so in love with Olivia that it literally hurts you to read it. It is heartbreaking.

“She has the kind of love that can stain your soul, make you beg not to have one, just to escape the spell she’s put you under. I’ve tried to break myself of her over and over, but it’s pointless. I’ve got more of her in my veins than blood.”

We don’t just get Caleb telling us he loved Olivia, we find out why. In vivid detail he explains exactly what he loves about her.

“Olivia burned. When she walked into a room you could feel her fire. It rolled off of her in waves. She was angry and passionate and fearless. She burned hot enough to keep everyone away. It was a good trick, except I played with fire.”

Their chemistry was so powerful I could feel it viscerally to my bones. I FELT EVERYTHING. DEEPLY.

“I want your babies, and your anger, and your cold blue eyes … “ I choke on my words and I am the one to look away. I bring my gaze back to her face and realize that if I can’t convince her now, I’m never going to be able to. “I want to go on anniversary dinners with you, I want to wrap Christmas presents with you. I want to fight with you about stupid things and then hold you down in my bed and make it up to you. I want to have more cake batter fights and camping trips. I want your future, Olivia. Please come back to me.”

I was scared to start reading this last book. I was scared I wouldn’t get a HEA for two characters I feel so deeply for. And I won’t give you any hints—just trust Tarryn to give the story what it needs, even though it may not be what you want. You will hopefully be satisfied that it is how their story should end. I was.

“Broken people give broken love. And we are all a little broken. You just have to forgive and sew up the wounds love delivers, and move on.”

PLEASE do not just add this to your TBR list! I know they are long, and get longer every day. You may never get around to reading it—so read it now. You will not be disappointed!
